DAY 7
(That was yesterday.  I am really behind.)
Connecting with Old Friends
Every single day of this trip holds unforgettable highlights.  Tuesday's first was Howe, Idaho!!!  Traveling from Missoula, Montana to Twin Falls, Idaho, Lucy (our beloved GPS lady) took us off the interstate into the hinterlands of Idaho - with roads running RIBBON-STRAIGHT for 6-7-mile strips, nothing but scrub grass and sagebrush on both sides of the road as far as the eye could see, and no - and I mean NO - cars.  WE LOVED IT, especially when we turned left in Howe - right across from what I fondly call the Little Log Lodge (above).  Bet that baby could tell a few stories from another day!

Our REAL highlight of the day was knocking on the door at 2560 Laura Circle, Twin Falls, Idaho, to be welcomed by our forever friends from Camp Wawenock,
Scott and Marjie Atkins!!!!!
Smiles - hugs - goosebumps - tears - and mostly NONSTOP talking - before we knew it, two hours had streaked by.  We caught up on families, swapped pictures of grandkids (duh!!), and of course recalled precious memories from our time together at Wawenock - did I say swapped pictures of the grandkids?.   Matter of fact, we became so absorbed in having fun together (and eating the best white chocolate popcorn in the universe) that all of us FORGOT to record the event by camera.  Trust me - we would have all been smiling out loud!!!

Discussing our trip last night at dinner, Bob and I agreed that, yes majestic Glacier Park was unforgettable, but that NOTHING anytime anywhere compares to spending time with people you love!
Thank you, Scott and Marjie!
We carry you in our hearts!
